Hundreds of the gaming industry’s professionals were on hand to witness partypoker being crowned the ‘Poker Operator of the Year’ for 2017 at the EGR Operator Awards in London on October 26.
The EGR Operator Awards are regarded as the Oscars of the egaming sector and see operators and affiliates receive awards for setting the standard for the industry across 30 categories.
This year’s awards were held at the luxurious Grosvenor House on London’s Park Lane and saw partypoker shortlisted for the Poker Operator of the Year award alongside 888poker, Pokerdom, PokerStars and Sky Betting & Gaming. This hardfought category had been won by PokerStars in 2014, 2015 and 2016, but now partypoker can proudly call itself the 2017 Poker Operator of the Year.

The award rewards the partypoker management team for the positive changes it has made over the past 12 months. From the launch of partypoker LIVE and partypoker Ladies, to the reintroduction of rakeback, bigger and better tournaments (including Powerfest and Monster Series), the creation of the Team partypoker stable of professionals and ambassadors, and the revamped poker software have helped make this award win possible.
