Oh boy the elimination of Phil Hellmuth in third place has blown this group wide open, he’ll collect eight points for finishing third in this heat. He’ll have 18 going into the last heat, one of Antonio Esfandiari or Scott Seiver will leapfrog him meaning he’ll go into the final heat in joint fourth spot, teetering on the edge of automatic qualification, but equally close to the relegation zone.

river sent the chips his way.
Group A is now wide open and the last heat is shaping up to be an all-time cat and mouse classic.
