Alan Linford has finished the second flight in the partypoker World Poker Tour National UK Milton Keynes Main Event after turning his 20,000 starting stack into an impressive 115,200. In addition to bragging rights among his peers, Linford will now compete in a special six-max sit & go at partypoker where he can win a $1,000 package to the WPT National UK London Main Event.
Linford is no stranger to live tournament poker; he has results dating back to 2008. The bulk of Linford’s cashes come from his exploits at the Dusk Till Dawn casino in Nottingham, but he has ventured south to take part in this superb event.
Linford’s 115,200 stack puts him at the very top of the chip counts of the 37 surviving players – 77 players bought in for £200 — and gives him a realistic chance of navigating his way beyond Saturday’s Day 2.
Several of the surviving 37 players had superb days at the Aspers-branded felt and finished the flight by having to cram their ample stacks into plastic chip bags. Andrew Sledmore (94,100), Renata Jack (83,300), Herve Decker (81,600) and Matthew Bryan (81,000) each finished with over 80,000 chips in their stacks.

The third and final flight commences at 8:00pm and should see our biggest turnout yet. There is already £36,720 in the prize pool – including Flight 3 registrations at time of writing – which makes buying into Flight 3 for £200 a hugely +EV decision.
