Well here we are the final part of this series where Mike Sexton let us know exactly what he thinks of the Premier League V and the players. If you’ve missed any part check out part 3 and work your way back. As for today we’ve got an exciting line up for Mike so let’s get down to it:
Vanessa Selbst – Most feel she is the top woman player in the world, but I’ll go a step farther and rate her one of the top five players in the world – male or female! Her aggressiveness makes all the pro’s shake in their boots. Her pressure is relentless. Her poker success world-wide has been incredible ($4.5M in earnings). Perhaps more impressive is that even after all this success (by the age of 27), she opted to go back to Yale law school while continuing to play poker when time allows. Trust me, she’ll be tough for these guys to deal with in Premier League.
Yevgeniy Timoshenko – I love his style – both the way he plays and the way he handles himself. He’s always calm, cool, and collected. His success in poker at such a young age has to be the best in poker history. He won over $2M in tournaments around the world before he was old enough to even play in the WSOP! And he won the WPT World Championship and became the WPT Player of the Year at 21 years of age! He’s quiet at the table but will impress you with his play. I also make him the favorite (substantial favorite) to be the best dressed player in the Premier League.
Betrand “Elky” Grospellier – From France, this former pro-gamer has transitioned incredibly into the poker world. He’s only one of a few players in the world that have won the Triple Crown of Poker (WSOP, EPT, & WPT titles) and is a former WPT Player of the Year. Simply put, he’s “magnifique” and will be a guy to keep your eye on in the Premier League.
Scott Seiver is an extremely bright guy (graduated from Brown – a prestigious Ivy League school) who has already had tremendous success in his poker career. He was successful playing online (nearly $1M in winnings) and has been very impressive in live tournaments (over $4.2M). In the past two years, he has won a WSOP bracelet and the Season IX WPT World Championship event at Bellagio and has had some impressive finishes in High Roller events. The guy is a force on the green felt!
And that’s it folks with the Premier League Play off set to start tomorrow make sure you check back for all the action!
