If you’re new to poker you might be wondering what a Calling Station is right? Well first up, don’t become one, no really don’t. Second it’s a player who is likely to call, even in those situations where other actions would be more advantageous; you could see it as a passive player one that will stay in the pot with the minimum bet, and rarely folding or raising.
So this week Mike’s thought he’d give you a couple of tips on callings stations. Last time around he talked about how to make correct descisions and you can read those tips here.

1. To illustrate the downfall of continuous calling, we have an old saying in poker: “If you can’t beat a calling station, you can’t beat anybody”.
2. Calling stations are dream opponents. They are non-threatening players against whom you can play with confidence.
