Each week the partypoker is revealing a stellar name who is flying out to Punta Cana this November to compete at the Caribbean Poker Party. Last week we wrote about Dzmitry Urbanovich, this time around it is the one and only Flying Dutchman, Marcel Luske.

Luske is a veteran of the game whose first cash on his Hendon Mob page was back in November 1999 when he won a Limit Stud/Hold’em tournament at the Masters Classics of Poker in Amsterdam for the equivalent of $15,200.

Something of a mixed game specialist, Luske has gone on to cash in almost 200 tournaments, winning more than $4.43 million along the way. Despite having a penchant for non-hold’em games, Luske’s biggest tournament scores stem from Texas hold’em events.

Luske was crowned the European Player of the Year in 2001 thanks to winning nine major events across hold’em, Omaha, and Stud, then in 2004, Luske finished 10th in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event for a career-best $373,000 and two years later came close to winning a WSOP bracelet again, but fell in fourth-place in the $5,000 No-Limit Hold’em event, a result that netted him $204,638.

The talkative and popular Dutchman may be considered an “old school pro,” but don’t fall into the trap of thinking Luske is going to be an easy target in the Caribbean, far from it. Luske knows how to mix up his game, and can more than hold his own in the modern game full of online poker whizzkids.

Having enjoyed cashing more than half-of-a-dozen times in the Bahamas over the years, three times in St. Kitts, and five times in St. Maarten, Luske has a good track record in the Caribbean and is looking forward to adding yet another cash to his impressive record when the partypoker Caribbean Poker Party rolls into Punta Cana.

You can join the army of partypoker players, Urbanovich, and Luske in Punta Cana by competing in the $1 Million CPP Giveaway Leaderboard promotion, the partypoker Million Sit & Go Hero tournaments, or via the plethora of satellites that run around the clock starting from as little as $0.01.

Once in Punta Cana, you’ll find a range of exciting activities to keep you entertained, the $2 million guaranteed partypoker Million, and the $1 million guaranteed World Poker Tour Caribbean Main Event to satisfy your poker needs.
