Poker pro Paul Zimbler may be known as the Marbella Kid but he is hoping to be referred to as a WPT Winner by the time this tournament has ended. Like most professional poker players, Zimbler is always looking out for a bargain, for a solid deal or to increase his EV in whatever he does. It appears he found some value in the WPT National London Main Event.
Earlier today Zimbler wrote on his Facebook wall:
“WPT London :) the satellite was probably one of the easiest I have ever played. Wow value town in Stratford :) lets run good”
While it is too early to tell if Zimbler is running well, we do know he is eating well, as is apparent by the burger and chips he is currently devouring at the fare end of the room.
Zimbler has more than $330,000 in live tournament winnings, including the $21,781 he was awarded for his 44th place finish in the $15,000 buy-in WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic back in 2004. How many of you can say you were mixing it up at the poker table back then?
If you are at Aspers or are planning to be, take it from Zimbler that there is value in this tournament and there is still plenty of time to get involved. Late registration is open for another six hours, so grab some lunch and head down to this fantastic establishment.
Have you satellited in?
