The World Poker Tour National London Main Event Day 1A continues to grow and we now have 103 entrants, although only 84 of them still have chips in front of them. Two late entries who have helped push us past 100 buy-ins are Denmark’s Morten Mortensen and Jerome Bradpiece.
If you have played in high stakes tournaments on partypoker during the past few years you will have no doubt bumped into Mortensen, who plays on partypoker under the alias “MortenVM_” an alias that has won him $170,000. Away from the virtual felt Mortensen has over $600,000 in live tournament winnings but not one cent has come from a WPT event. Could that fact change here in London?
Bradpiece is more accustomed to playing short-handed pot limit Omaha cash games than tournaments but he is still going to be a formidable opponent to any who faces him this week. Unlike the aforementioned Mortensen, Bradpeice does have winnings from the WPT namely the $121,477 he won for his runner-up finish at the inaugural WPT South Africa Main Event in October 2012.
Do you think Mortensen will cash in London?
