Incredible Big Game Performances by Pascal Hartmann

Pascal Hartmann already had a reputation for being one of tournament poker’s best players and his performances in the latest round of Big Game events, part of the Daily Legends schedule, adds credit to those claims.

Hartmann won the $5,200 High Roller Big Game and reached the final table of the $530 edition! Those two fantastic results netted Hartmann more than $123,000. Here’s how that happened.

The High Roller Big Game: $500K Gtd

Hartmann’s biggest prize came from his victory came in the $5,200 High Roller Big Game which saw 102 players create a $511,000 prize pool, surpassing the $500,000 guarantee.

Each of the final eight players locked up more than $18,000 for their efforts, and what a final eight it was.

It became less shark-infested when David Peters busted in eighth place and was joined by the superstar that is Alex Foxen and Team partypoker’s Isaac Haxton. That elite duo padded their bankrolls with $21,717 and $25,550 respectively.

Alex Papazian and UK-based Aussie grinder Michael Addamo were the next casualties, the latter scooping $44,712.

Slovenia’s Rok Gostisa, a regular in the highest buy-in events around the world, finished in third for a $62,801 score, which left Hartmann and Alexandre Montovani to fight it out heads-up.

The heads-up duo struck a deal that saw Montovani bank $101,841 and Hartmann walk away with yet another major online title and $108,486.

The Big Game: $200K Gtd

Hartmann was also present and correct at the final table of the $530 Big Game. This week’s $200,000 guaranteed event saw 460 players buy in and create a $236,450 pot.

Leo Du Boisbaudry, Loic De Doncker, and Lars Kamphues were the first trio of players to bust from the star-studded final table. The final six became five when high flier Jeffrey Cormier ran out of steam. Cormier secured a $10,734 payout, the first five-figure prize of the tournament.

Then came Hartmann’s demise. The Austrian fell in fourth place and had to make do with a still welcomed $15,132. So close to winning two Big Game titles on the same evening, which would have been so so good!

Hartmann’s exit left a trio of players in the hunt for the title, but all three agreed to a deal instead. Brazilian Igor Ribeiro officially finished third for $28,685 with Lithuanian Gytis Lazauninkas crashing out in second for $32,888.

British streamer Jamie Nixon was the player credited with the win and a cool $35,454.

The Mini Big Game: $100K Gtd

Team Online’s Jordan Drummond came close to winning the $100,000 guaranteed Mini Big Game but had to make do with a still impressive third-place finish.

Drummond’s third-place exit saw his $55 investment turn into a cool $7,963. His demise left Lyndon Webster of New Zealand and Austria’s Tomas Lesinta as the last surviving pair of players.

They fought a superb heads-up battle, a battle that Webster won. First place weighed in at $17,477 and the runner-up banked $12,337, both remarkable scores from a $55 entry thanks to more than 2,000 partypoker players buying in.
