There was plenty of WPT World Online Championships side event action while the $10 million guaranteed Main Event got underway on September 6. David Peters was just one superstar who excelled, doing so in the largest buy-in tournament.
Peters was one of 23 entrants in the $25,500 Super High Roller. The compact field meant only the top three finishers won a slice of the $575,000 prize pool. Christian Rudolph was the unfortunate soul who burst the money bubble, busting n fourth place.
Christoph Vogelsang banked $115,000 for his third-place finish, which left Team partypoker’s Isaac Haxton and Peters to fight it out one-on-one for the title. The heads-up duo struck a deal that saw Haxton officially finish in second-place and net $203,485. Peters was crowned the Super High Roller champion, a finish that came with a $256,514 prize.

Enselme Takes Down WPT 7-Max Turbo
A star-studded field gathered for the $2,100 WPT 7-Max Turbo PKO and Arnaud Enselme outlasted them all. It was an impressive victory because this event drew in some elite grinders from around the world.
The likes of Kahle Burns, Manig Loeser, Teun Mulder, and Scott Margereson all reached the final two tables. The final table was also a star-studded affair.
Ricardo Neto was the first finalist to bust. Team partypoker’s Patrick Leonard crashed out in sixth before the one and only Rob Yong followed suit in fifth, a result netting Yong $11,149.
