Matthias Eibinger is no stranger to high buy-in poker tournaments’ final tables. The Austrian is a fearless, highly-skilled competitor who is respected and feared in equal measure. Eibinger added to his already glowing reputation by winning two events on the same day, but it’s Luke Reeves who’s the man to catch at the top of the current leaderboard.

High Roller Club: 6-Max Knockout $100K Gtd

Eibinger’s first victory came in the $2,100 buy-in High Roller Club: 6-Max Knockout event, a tournament that saw 52 player enter. Only the top six finishers received a payout from the main prize pool and it was our very own Kristen Bicknell who was the first to bank some cash.

Bicknell was awarded $3,283 for her sixth-place exit, which was boosted by $1,250 worth of bounties.

Ivan Gabrieli and Corne Scheel crashed out before Jean Loseka of Mozambique netted the first five-figure prize, with bounties included, namely $12,397.

This left Eibinger and Aleksejs Meless to fight it out heads-up. Eibinger got the job done and padded his bankroll with a combined $40,491, leaving his Latvian opponent to win $18,230.

High Roller Club: 6-Max Bounty Hunter $50K Gtd

There must be something about short-handed PKO events for Eibinger because he won the $530 High Roller Club: 6-Max Bounty Hunter on the same evening. This second victory saw Eibinger boost his career earnings by $13,775. Eibinger outlasted 124-opponents on his way to victory, including Dario Sammartino and Team Online’s Matthew Staples.

Sammertino ran out of steam in seventh-place ($2,109) while Staples busted in sixth ($2,522).

Eibinger found himself heads-up against Jonathan McCann and he sent him to the rail with the $8,041 consolation prize in tow.

High Roller Club: Main Event $250K Gtd

Fifty players turned out for the $5,200 High Roller Club: Main Event to ensure the $250,000 guarantee was hit. Only the top seven finishers received a slice of the pie with Ali Imsirovic bursting the bubble when he crashed out in eighth place.

Russia’s Iurii Pasiuk was the first player to cash. He banked $10,625. Next to fall was Luke Reeves who scooped $12,500. Reeves was joined on the rail by Marcello Marigliano (remember him from the Durrrrr challenge a few years ago?) who netted $16,250.

Thomas Muehloecker, a recent winner of the Big Game, fell in fourth-place before Rok Gostisa saw his tournament end abruptly in third place to set up a one-on-one battle between Sergi Denisov and Andras Nemeth.

It was Nemeth who emerged from the battle victoriously and with the $88,750 top prize. Denisov had to settle for the $59,375 consolation prize.

Reeves Tops Current $100,000 Leaderboard
