Following on from the exciting news that John Duthie has become the new President of partypoker LIVE, we today announce two new Grand Prix events being added to the partypoker LIVE calendar.
Grand Prix Austria
Taking place at Montesino in Vienna between April 6-10 is the inaugural €500,000 guaranteed Grand Prix Austria. Costing €200+€25 to enter, the Grand Prix Austria is immense value and at the more affordable end of the buy in spectrum. Satellites for Grand Prix Austria begin on February 5.
The Golden Chip promotion returns in time for Grand Prix Austria and sees the first 100 players to qualify for Day 2 via an Online Day 1 on partypoker receive a Golden Chip. The player who lasts the longest in the Grand Prix Austria while in possession of a Golden Chip wins €20,000 in addition to any more they win for cashing in the tournament.
Online Day 1s run every Sunday from February 12 to March 26 and daily from April 2 through to April 8. For the live poker aficionados, there are Live Day 1s taking place at selected venues in Austria from March 24 to April 9, with Day 2 onwards of the Grand Prix Austria being held at Montesino.
While in Austria, why not try to progress in the partypoker MILLIONS event, a £6 million guaranteed tournament. Phase 1s plus a Day 1 and Day 2 are scheduled during Grand Prix Austria so watch this space.

Grand Prix Canada
The Grand Prix returns to the Playground Poker Club in Montreal after a hugely successful debut in 2016. This will be the first North American stop of 2017 and sees a CAD$500,000 guarantee for only a CAD$220 buy-in.
Grand Prix Canada runs from April 25 through to May 1 directly before the CAD$5 million guaranteed partypoker North America with Online Day 1s taking place at partypoker from February 12.
Online satellites for Grand Prix Canada and the partypoker North America are available now at partypoker from as little as $1.10.
During the Grand Prix Canada, the Playground Poker Club is hosting Phase 1 flights for the partypoker Million North America event every Sunday and Thursday from February 16 through to February 23.
Like Grand Prix Austria, the first 100 players to make it through from an Online Day of Grand Prix Canada receive a Golden Chip, with the Golden Chip holder who lasts the longest winning CAD$20,000.
