There was much laughing when after Jonathan Duhamel opened to 5,000 with pocket queens, Hellmuth made a massive re-raise to 40,000 with , Duhamel smooth called. “Oh he’s smart,” said Jennifer Tilly, he knows Hellmuth has a strong hand.
On the flop Hellmuth said. “I’m going to have to check,” cue guffaws from the other players, Duhamel made a small bet of 35,000 and Hellmuth said. “If you’re bluffing I’ll be happy for you and pat you on the back,” Hellmuth then proceeded to show the ace-king as he folded.
