More Guaranteed Prize Pools and Choice
Fire up PartyPoker, head to the “Tourneys” tab, and feast your eyes on the busting new schedule. There’s no need to reach for your calculator and tot up all the guarantees because we can tell you we now have more than $3 million worth of guaranteed prize pools each week, putting more money on the line for you to win.
You’ll also notice there are far more tournaments than previously; we’ve added approximately 600 new events to the weekly schedule, giving you more choices than ever.
The Super Micro buy-in level ($0.11-$0.49) has hundreds more tournaments than the old schedule. These entry-level events are perfect for giving those new to poker or those on a budget a chance to play games with some real meaning. The tournament count is also up for Micro, Low, Medium, and High buy-in events.
Short of spare time to get your grind on? There are more turbo-structured tournaments for you to get your teeth into. Don’t worry, though, because we’ve not turned them into proverbial crapshoots because we still have limited re-entry, reduced late registration, and fantastic blind structures that give you plenty of room to manoeuvre.
The Sunday Party and Sunday Carnival
Introducing the new Sunday Party, a weekly $109 buy-in PKO event with a fantastic $150,000 guaranteed prize pool! We get The Sunday Party started at 19:05 GMT every Sunday, with the first edition running on February 5.
The Sunday Party is a two-day affair. Day 1 concludes when only 16 players remain in the hunt for the title, with those 16 stars returning to the PartyPoker tables at 20:05 GMT on Monday to complete the tournament.
We’ll devolve deeper into The Sunday Party on the PartyPoker Blog very soon, but let us tell you that you can win your way into it for as little as $0.01, and there are more satellites than ever feeding into our flagship event.
The Sunday Carnival runs alongside The Sunday Party but costs $22 and boasts a $50,000 guaranteed prize pool. Like the Sunday Party, the Sunday Carnival is a two-day PKO tournament. It follows the same incredible structure, with the only difference being the $109 Sunday Party has a 12-minute clock while the Sunday Carnival’s blinds increase every 10 minutes.
Improved Supers Tournaments
Our Super tournaments now come with buy-ins from $5.50 to $530, and they run every day of the week. Previously, there were no Supers on Friday or Saturday, but that has changed. Every night now has a big Supers tournament for you to shine in. The Super $11 features a $15,000 guarantee and is sure to be a massive hit, while the Super $55 comes with $30,000 guarantees during the week!
All Supers now have more satellites feeding into them if you want to take a shot in some higher-stakes games.
Legendary Daily Legends and the Big Saturday
Previously, our Daily Legends were compressed into a relatively short time slot. Now they shuffle up and deal between 09:00 and 02:00 GMT, giving more PartyPoker players a chance to enjoy them.
Don’t worry if you don’t see your favourite named Daily Legend in the schedule. It is likely to be there but under a more generic Daily Legends name to make navigating the lobby easier.
The spreading out of the Supers and Daily Legends means our Canadian and Latin American players have more opportunities to play in our most popular tournaments and games that have the largest guarantees.
Speaking of which, you need to check out the $215 buy-in $30,000 guaranteed The Big Saturday. This phased tournament starts at only $1.10 with the final, where the prize money is awarded, costing $215. We cannot wait to discover our first Big Saturday champion.
Don’t Miss the Extra Value MTTs
We love giving back to our players, and the Extra MTTs are another way we are adding more value to your sessions. Extra tournaments run daily and, as the name suggests, have extras added to the prize pool. We plan to give away tens of thousands of tickets and goodies during the opening month of Extra tournaments, so you do not want to miss them; they kick off at 20:05 GMT.
Revamped Satellites
Satellite players will be delighted to learn that our satellites have been completely revamped. Here’s the biggy: most satellites now have expiry dates of between 14-45 days! Here’s another biggy: most satellites do not auto-register you for the target event (it will be clearly marked if they do auto-reg)!
We know some of you were unhappy with our satellite offering, which is why we’ve made these much-wanted changes to the registration and expiry dates.
