The Basilica de la Sagrada Familia, to give it its full title, is an unfinished masterpiece by legendary Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi. Construction began in March 1882 and it is still only three-quarters completed; only one-quarter was finished before Gaudi’s death.

It really is a sight to behold and there is nothing even remotely like it anywhere in the world.

Make it to the top of the hill to find a 17th-century fortress that was part of the Catalan Revolt in the 1600s. The views from here are spectacular to say the least.
