We’re pretty sure the word is already spreading like wild-fire around various forums and if not Kevin Mathers will make sure of it soon enough, but just for the record the latest news on the Premier League V that precedes the WPT Main Event is that French poker legend Bertrand ‘ElkY’ Grospellier will be joining the line-up.

Winning machine

We managed to grab a few words with the all round winning machine ElkY who told us: “This will be the first time I have taken part in the Premier League and I’m super excited to compete with all those great players in such a unique and interesting format.”

In addition to serving as Tournament Director during the WPT Vienna Main Event, WPT Executive Tour Director Matt Savage will be overseeing all of the fantastic poker action of the Premier League. “I’m very excited to be a part of the Premier League. I have long been a fan of the format as it brings together some of the world’s best players with the greatest personalities in the game,” said Matt.

As we reported the other day Andrew Robl will be taking part in the televised Big Game VI which will run for a full 48 hours! and this is right in the middle of the WPT Vienna Main Event. Andrew Robl looks set to start the game which will be streamed in its entirety at and believe us he has some very strong opinions about his reunion with Tony G.
