Day 1B of the $3 million guaranteed WPT Online Series Main Event saw another 394 players take a shot at becoming a WPT champion. Only 59 of those hopefuls made it through to Day 2, although there are some legitimate superstars among those 59 players.

Bulgaria’s Stoyan Obreshkov finished Day 1B not only with the flight’s chip lead but with the overall chip lead with only one flight remaining. Obreshkov turned his 200,000 starting stack into a tournament-leading 4,555,237 by the time the curtain came down on proceedings.

Yuri Dzivielevski (lead photo) is another elite player who progressed to Day 2 at the first attempt. The super-talented Brazilian returns to the action on Day 2 with 3,779,407 chips and with a realistic chance of winning this special tournament.

Team partypoker’s Joao Simao (2,076,678) will be pleased with how his Day 1 went thanks to finishing with enough chips for sixth place. Others to look out for on Day 2 include the likes of Espen Myrmo (1,986,085), Jon Van Fleet (1,821,978), Chanracy Khun (1,795,685), Ioannis Angelou Konstas (1,475,080), and Christoph Vogelsang (1,166,842).

Day 1B Mega Satellite Winners Through To Day 2

The Day 1B Mega Satellite awarded 56 seats and paid the 57th place finisher $3,110, almost enough to buy into the target tournament.

Lander Lijo Bereciartua performed the best of the 12 satellite winners, bagging up 1,700,953 chips at the close of play. Andrius Stakelis, Robert Zajac, Tomas Jozonis, Luis Fabio Fonseca Freitas, and David Hu each finished with more than one million chips in their arsenal.

You only have one more chance to enter the WPT Online Series Main Event. The turbo-structured flight shuffles up and deals at 16:05 BST on May 31. It, of course, has plenty of satellites feeding into it.

Progress from the Day 1 Turbo and you need to be ready to return to the battle at 20:05 BST on May 31 to compete in Day 2. Day 2 runs for 10 levels, each lasting 30-minutes. By it conclusion, we will have a clearer idea of who will win this $3 million guaranteed tournament.
