And it’s currently one-one as Esfandiari quickly took charge of this second match when he got two streets of value with pocket nines against Seiver’s on a board. That gave him a 120,000 to 80,000 lead and Seiver never regained parity.
Esfandiari further stretched his lead when he flopped top pair with against Seiver’s which made bottom pair on a flop.
In the final hand Seiver shoved for 43,000 (just over 10 big blinds) with and Esfandiari snapped him off with . The board came and initially Esfandiari thought it was a chop, but he won the pot and the match to take it to a decider.
