Andrew Jankowski is $192,210 richer than he was a week ago after he topped a field of 886 players in the partypoker WPT National Nottingham Main Event. What makes Jankowski’s victory sweeter is he qualified for the $1,100 buy-in tournament via a centroll at partypoker.

Thirty-eight players returned to action for the third and final day’s play, and they were gradually whittled down to the nine-handed final table. The likes of Mitchell Johnson, Rob Cowen, Chin Chai Koh, Tommy Bingham, Ali Zinhi, Sylvia Hewitt, and Dan O’Callaghan crashing out before the final table, the latter being the 10th place finisher.

Ninth place went to Vivek Gudhka who moved all-in from the small blind for two big blinds with , Miikka Toikka called in the big blind with , and the board ran to send Gudhka home.

Dinarte DeSousa was the next to fall, pushing all-in for 1.3 million at the 60,000/120,000/20,000a level with and running into the of Steven Game. The sevens failed to melt the snowmen and the tournament was left with seven players.

Three exits in quick succession reduced the field some more. Toikka’s [Kx][Tx] lost to [Ax][9x], Matthew Davenport’s ran into the of George Plarkou, then Terry Jordon lost a huge flip with against Jankowski’s to finish in fifth place and leave Jankowski with 15 million of the 26 million chips in play.

Plarkou, another one cent qualifier, fell in fourth after losing almost all of his chips on a board with against Game’s ; he bust in the same orbit when his shove was called in two spots.

Game bust in third place, his being beaten by Jankowski’s thanks to a king on the turn of the board, leaving Jankowski and Daniel Tang to battle heads-up for the title.

The final hand saw the flop fall and Jankowski move all-in with an overbet shove. Tang decided to call, and discovered his was ahead of Jankowski’s when he did so. However, the on the turn flipped the hand on its head, and the ended the tournament, allowing Jankowski to be crowned the partypoker WPT National Nottingham champion.
