The PartyPoker Grand Prix Summer series continues marching towards a thrilling finale, and is crowning champions all over the place. Three more of your fellow PartyPoker players became Grand Prix Summer champions in numbered events this week. Who were that trio? Continue reading to find out.

Event #07 was the $33buy-in PLO8 PKO Championship, and it attracted 647 players to the tables. All those entrants meant a $19,410 prize pool, far more than the advertised $15,000 guarantee.

With bounties included, each of the nine finalists saw a healthy return on their investments. “LuckyJJ” ran out of luck in ninth for $352, with “Lyren” falling in eighth for a $428 addition to their bankroll.

Seventh-place and $402 went to “pokytrg” before “ourson69” walked away with $793 after busting in sixth. “ourson69” won the fourth-most cash despite busting in sixth thanks to sending 14 opponents to the rail; don’t you just love progressive knockout tournaments?

The remaining finalists gained some extra elbow room when “AllaboutAlan” and “Samieli” crashed out in succession. They netted $564 and $679 for their efforts.

The prayers of “SaveMeJesus” went unanswered, and they had to console themselves with a $1,078 score after their demise in third. “SaveMeJesus”‘bustout left “Alvaro Veritas” and “Jumashouse” heads-up for the title.

That one-on-one battle went the way of “Alvaro Veritas” who not only gets to call themselves a PartyPoker champion, but also has the welcome problem of figuring out what to spend their $3,027 winnings on! Second place came with a total prize worth $1,787.

“BOMAHA77” Bulldozes Their Way to Victory

It pays, literally, to be aggressive in PKO tournaments because you win cash prizes for each opponent you eliminate from the competition. It appears “BOMAHA77” got that memo judging by how they bulldozed their way through the $5.50 buy-in Grand Prix Summer #08 Mini PLO8 PKO Championship.

When the dust settled on this event, “BOMAHA77” was the last player standing, and had turned their $5.50 buy-in into $521. That sum came from the main prize pool, but the champion also captured a quite ridiculous $575 from the bounty prize pool, for a combined prize tipping the scales at $1,096!

“BOMAHA77” was personally responsible for eliminating 29 opponents from the 1,598-strong field! Their ability to send opponents to the showers meant their prize was worth more than the total prize money both second and third place collected!

We have n doubts that we will see “BOMAHA77” in some PLO8 tournaments in the near future.

“UberSuper” Crowned Micro PLO8 PKO Champion

“UberSuper” defeated “Flossen” heads-up in the $1.10 buy-in PLO8 PKO Championship and got their hands on a $220 score. Either of those players would have made a worthy champion because between them they sent 40 of the 1,549 field to the rail, with “Flossen” responsible to scalping 25 opponents.

Unfortunately for them, “Flossen” could not claim a 26th casualty, and had to make do with a $133 score, which is still a healthy return on a $1.10 buy-in.
