By the time the eight-handed final table was reached, the least amount of money anyone was going to take home weighed in at the equivalent of $70,000 but the eventual champion would scoop an impressive $1,000,000.

The first player to bust from the final table was Vadim Lipovka. During the 1,000,000/2,000,000/200,000a level, Lipovka opened to 5,000,000 with , Michael Sklenicka three-bet to 14,000,000 with and then quickly called when Lipovka moved all-in. A final board reading sent Lipovka to the rail.

David Laka doubled through Sklenicka and the very next hand Sklenicka raised to 5,400,000 with , Laka three-bet to 18,500,000 with only to see Slenicka move all-in for 90,600,000. Laka snap-called. The board ran out to improve both players’ hands, but Laka had made a straight on the river to send Slenicka home in seventh place.

Sixth place went to Philipp Zukernik who moved all-in for around 10 big blinds with and Kala woke up with on the button. Zukernik paired his ten on the river of the board, but it was too little too late and his tournament ended.

Anatoliy Zyrin was the next to fall, his short stack shove with losing to Laka’s dominating courtesy of the latter’s king-kicker, then heads-up was set during the 2,500,000/5,000,000/500,000a level when Laka raised to 10,000,000, Gofman called and Aleksandr Merzhvinskiy moved all-in for 139,000,000. Laka folded but Gofman called.

It was for Merzhvinskiy and for Gofman. A fives friendly board ran out and Merzhvinskiy was eliminated in third place.

Gofman led going into heads-up but relinquished his lead to Laka in the opening exchanges. Gofman then made a superb call with ace-high when Laka bluffed to put the ball firmly in his court and he ran out a winner soon after.

The final hand saw Gofmann make it 12,500,000 with and Laka called with . The flop fell [3x], Laka checked, Gofman bet 15,000,000, Laka check-raised to 45,000,000 and Gofman called.
