The Powerfest #36-SHR: $500K Gtd 8-Max event attracted a field of 134 entries, meaning the guarantee was surpassed by $170,000, much to the delight of those who made it into the money places.
Everyone at the eight-handed final table was guaranteed $20,100, the sum “FrioPequeno” collected after being the first player to bust under the spotlights. They were followed to the sidelines by their fellow Canadian “CanadianSanta” who banked a cool $25,326.
Next to fall was “nipa3p3” of Moldova who collected $31,825 before “PokerG1rl69” of Finland crashed out but not before locking up an impressive $40,200 score. PokerG1rl69 was joined on the rail by fellow Finn “rdcrsnn” who scooped the $56,950 fourth-place prize.
Third-place and $80,400 went to Ukraine’s “ucantrybut” which left Germany’s “limitless” and the UK’s “SpiritDNA” to play heads-up for the title. No deal was struck despite there being a $43,483 difference between second and first-place, meaning when the British grinder won all the chips in play, they secured a $154,033 prize and the runner-up banked a still welcomed $110,550.

A field of 230-players entered the Powerfest #37-HR: $500K Gtd PKO 8-Max and it was Canada’s “donzledubru” who was the last player standing, a finish worth $41,675 from the main prize pool and $59,423 worth of bounty payments.
Some of the bounties were massive, as you would expect from a $2,100 buy-in tournament, with a special mention having to go to third-place finisher “BITMEXREKT” of Taiwan who collected $10,565 from the bounty prize pool, and to “PokerBrothersTM” of Belarus who secured $16,964 worth of bounties on their way to a fifth-place finish.
