Day 4 of the $30 million guaranteed KO Series saw two members of Team partypoker navigate their way to final tables of high roller events. Patrick Leonard and Jeff Gross may have fallen short, but they padded their bankrolls nicely.
Sixteen players became KO Series champions and banked a large percentage of the $1,496,996 prize money. We have now paid out more than $10.2 million and there are still 207 events on the schedule!

The KO Series #17-HR: $300K Gtd Mix-Max 8-6 saw play start on eight-handed tabes before switching to six-max. It was a format that obviously suited Team partypoker’s Patrick “Patrick_Leonard” Leonard as he bulldozed his way to a third-place finish.
Leonard is the world’s second-best online poker tournament player, according to PocketFives. Leonard won a $17,879 prize boosted by $5,606 worth of bounty payments.
Earlier at the final table, recent KO Series champion “GimmeHummus” busted in sixth-place for more than $10,000 and they were followed to the rail by “Flatador” and “ShipAndDate” who banked $12,416 and $15,513 respectively.
Then came the exit of Leonard, which set up a heads-up encounter between “MeisterYoda” and “MasterOfPigeons”. It was the king of birds who came out on top, banking $24,802 from the main prize pool and $32,211 worth of bounties. Second-place was worth an impressive $24,722 and that was padded with $12,467 from the bounty prize pool.

Team Online’s Jeff “JeffGross” Gross navigated his way to the final table of KO Series #18-HR: $40K Gtd PLO 6-Max. Gross, who had earlier made a royal flush, fell in sixth-place for $1,320 and $1,968 worth of bounty payments.
“daborreguer” followed Gross to the rail and netted a combined $2,447. Then “C Nugs” whose fourth-place finish saw them win $4,574 busted. Third-place and $5,424 went to “LOL-Donkaments” a name that doffs the cap to Barry Greenstein on the TV show High Stakes Poker.
“SonOfDad” found themselves heads-up for their third KO Series title of the festival but they had to make do with second-place this time around because “ChimneyBarrel” emerged victoriously. SonOfDad won a combined prize worth $9,440 with our champion scooping $13,745.

The last event of today’s recap is the KO Series #16-HR: $200K Gtd 8-Max. This $530 buy-in tournament saw 406 players buy-in. It was “Baccarat” who won this tournament, securing a $15,262 top prize and $16,455 worth of bounties. This was Baccarat’s second title of the series.
Baccarat defeated ChimneyBarrel heads-up for the title. ChimneyBarrel won KO Series #18-HR: $40K Gtd PLO 6-Max Fast earlier in the night and recently outed himself as Finnish star Sami Kelopuro. The Finn added a total of $20,994 to their KO Series winnings total.
Everyone at the eight-handed final table won more than $2,200. KO Series champion “mostri” was the eighth-place finisher. “iplaypoker”, “Dhr.Dogsome” and another KO Series champion in the shape of “RiverOffice” joined them. The latter netting a combined prize worth $10,545.
“Sim_or_sins…” then exited in fourth-place and was joined as a spectator by “nevada3000” who banked a cool $10,464 plus $5,377.
