Team partypoker’s Ludovich Geilich enjoyed a fruitful day at the tables and finished Day 3 of the $10 million guaranteed partypoker LIVE MILLIONS World Bahamas Main Event as the overall chip leader.
Only 23 opponents stand between Geilich and the $1,350,000 first-place prize, which would dwarf his current best score of $313,428.

Day 3 started with 135 players in the hunt for the title, all of them guaranteed at least $20,000 for their effort. The $10,300 tournament had attracted some of the world’s elite poker tournament players and dozens of them busted on Day 3.
The likes of Manig Loeser, Shannon Shorr, Mike Watson, Steve O’Dwyer, and Ryan Laplante were among the first casualties of the day. They were followed by Thomas Boivin, Benny Glaser, Team partypoker pro Isaac Haxton, and Kahle Burns. Kristen Bicknell ran out of steam and fell in 69th place for $35,000 with teammate Dzmitry Urbanovich crashing out in 60th place for the same prize.
Several notable grinders fell by the wayside as the curtain started coming down on Day 3 proceedings. A trio of Brits in Matthew Eardley, Brandon Sheils and Ben Heath busted, the latter’s exit concluding the day’s action. Sandwiched between that trio of high profile exits was that of Sweden’s Michael Tureneic; told you the field was stacked!
The remaining 24 players return to the Baha Mar Resorts casino at 12:00 p.m. ET (18:00 CET) on November 23rd and play continues until a champion is crowned. Geilich is the man to catch courtesy of ending Day 3 with an incredible 116,000,000 chips, 30 million more than his nearest rival Aaron Van Blacrum.
Sixth or better bests Geilich’s biggest score
Geilich needs sixth-place or better to best his previous largest score that weighed in at $313,482. This came back in October 2013 when he finished fourth in the EPT London Main Event. More recently, Geilich won a €1,100 partypoker MILLIONS Grand Final Barcelona Opener in April 2018 for €250,000 ($306,421).
It isn’t going to be an easy ride for Geilich because the field is still packed to the brim with talent. Alex Foxen returns with 83,200,000 chips and is definitely a major threat to Geilich chances of glory. As is Andras Nemeth, Chris Hunichen and former WSOP Main Event champion Ryan Riess, all of whom have enough chips t find themselves in the top 10 of the chip counts.
Others to look out for include Adrian Mateos, Martin Zamani, Scott Margereson, Peter Jetten and Team partypoker’s Philipp Gruissem. Gruissem started Day 3 second in chips but had to battle hard to remain the tournament. The German has 17,700,000 chips at the start of Day 4, enough for 20th place on the leaderboard.
