The Party Poker Irish Poker Festival began in style yesterday with day 1a of the Mystery Bounty event. In total 71 players took to the felt for a chance to make day 2, when those very mysterious bounties kick-in. The €50,000 guarantee looks to be in no danger, with more than half the guarantee collected on a day that would traditionally be the small field. Just nine players made it through the day, with chip counts as follows:

Today’s action sees a further starting day of the Mystery Bounty, with the Party Poker MILLIONS also getting underway, with the first of four flights in the €700,000 guaranteed main event. Day 2 of the Mystery Bounty will also take place today, after day 1b has concluded. The day rounds-off with a €250 No Limit Hold’em Freezeout.

One tournament did conclude yesterday, the first of several Pot Limit Omaha tournaments taking place at the festival. In total 57 players took part, creating a prize pool of €11,975. It was won by Patrick Eagers, who pipped Irish Poker Tour’s Fintan Gavin into second place.
