A combination of the warm weather and the 2014 World Series of Poker Main Event getting underway resulted in a massive overlay for players in this weekend’s partypoker $200K Guaranteed Sunday to enjoy. By the time registration finally closed, partypoker were left needing to add an astonishing $35,567 to the prize pool in order for the guarantee to be met.
The eventual champion was Slovenia’s zejnikoogoj who walked away with a bankroll-boosting $27,000 when the tournament came to a conclusion. Let’s find out how zejnikoogoj marched on to victory, starting with how the action unfolded at the final table.

This week’s final table only seated eight players thanks to a double elimination on the final table bubble. That meant the first player eliminated walked away with $2,500 or more than 10 times their initial buy-in.

The final board read , chuckchuk busted and BabyByeByeByeBy almost tripled up past one million chips.
Eight hands later and RUSLAN143 busted out after a clash with Don8ToPonyFund. The blinds were now 10,000/20,000/2,000a and RUSLAN143 moved all-in from under the gun for 263,915. Don8ToPonyFund called in the small blind and then showed when zejnikoogoj stepped out of the way in the big blind.
Those pocket kings were up against the of RUSLAN143 and they ultimately held as the five community cards ran . With that, RUSLAN143 was gone.
Friendlo was the next casualty of the final table. WinYourFears99 min-raised to 40,000 from under the gun and then folded when zejnikoogoj three-bet to 89,100 on the button and Friendlo four-bet all-in for 257,958. Zejnikoogoj called with and was way ahead of Friendlo’s and when the board came into view the final table lost another player.
Four-handed play spanned 41 hands nd ended with the elimination of WinYourFears99. Zejnikoogoj limped in on the button with and WinYourFears99 checked in the big blind with . WinYourFears99 flopped the world on a flop and checked to zejnikoogoj, who bet 45,100. WinYourFears99 check-raised all-in for 352,098 and was called. WinYourFears99 caught a six on the turn, but missed on the river and became the fourth place finisher.
Six short hands of three-handed play is all it took before Don8ToPonyFund busted and in a huge pot. Don8ToPonyFund raised to 75,000 from the small blind and zejnikoogoj raised to 192,000. Don8ToPonyFund responded with a raise to 392,050 and that bet was met with a 1,811,955 all-in bet, a bet that was called!
It was the of zejnikoogoj against the of Don8ToPonyFund for a near three million chip pot. The board cracked the queens of Don8ToPoyFund and zejnikoogoj was left with a 3,280,676 to 1,139,324 chip lead over BabyByeByeByeBy going into heads-up.
After 22 hands where neither player pulled away from the other it was all over. BabyByeByeByeBy min-raised to 60,000 on the button and zejnikoogoj called. Zejnikoogoj then check-called a 53,000 bet on the flop. Zejnikoogoj checked the turn and was facing a 116,000 bet. After a brief pause, zejnikoogoj check-raised to 290,000 only to see his opponent make it 525,000 to go. Zejnikoogoj then raised to 810,000 and called when he was put all in.
BabyByeByeByeBy showed [Kh8h] for two pair, but was crushed by the of zejnikoogoj that had improved to a straight. The on the river saw the pot slide to zejnikoogoj and he had won each and every one of the 4,420,000 chips in play!
