“It Ain’t No Country Club Either This Is LA” goes some song that we probably shouldn’t admit to knowing the lyrics to, but speaking of LA and the WPT this Friday the 24th of February will see the poker world shift its focus to the Commerce Casino where the world-renowned WPT Los Angeles Poker Classic will kick off, with the final table to be live streamed for the all fans at home.
20 Years and Counting…
Now in its twentieth year and featuring a $10k WPT Main Event buy-in the LAPC is a regular stop on just about any professional poker player’s calendar with the likes of Gus Hansen, Michael Mizrachi, and Antonio Esfandiari doing very well here in the past. And as well as drawing large numbers the prizepools have been simple staggering with this year expected to surpass the $1 Million mark so who says the economy is on a down swing?
