Welcome back to Aspers Casino Westfield in Stratford City where in an hour’s time 27 poker players will return to this spectacular venue and play out the penultimate day of the World Poker Tour National London Main Event.
Just 27 players remain, each of them in the money, with Elior Sion leading the way with 573,500 chips. Sion is on something of a heater after reaching two final tables in EPT London side events last week. Can he reach a third here at the WPT National?
Brandon Hall is Sion’s nearest rival in terms of chips, but not distance travelled. Hall hails from the United States of America and will be hoping his journey across the pond is one made with the £80,000 winner’s prize burning a hole in his back pocket. Hall starts Day 3 with 515,500 chips.
Although Sion and Hall are the only players to surpass 500,000 chips, there are a bunch of talented players still in with a serious chance of helping themselves to some serious cash. Danny Blair (198,500) has a number of scores to his name in the British capital, while Tudor Purice (170,500) and Kevin Williams (162,000) both know their way around a poker table.
Benjamin Pollak (116,000), Manig Loeser (103,500) and Carlo Citrone (91,000) are also still in the field but need to start making moves sooner rather than later.
Play resumes at 14:00GMT and will continue until just eight players remain, regardless of how long that takes us. The players will completed the last 2:57 of Level 16, meaning the blinds will be 2,000/4,000 with a running ante of 500. See you at two!
