In July, the first-ever WPT500 took place at Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas and to say it was a roaring success is the understatement of the century.
The $565 buy-in event featured a $1 million guaranteed prize pool, which was completely blown out of the water when 3,599 players helped to create a gigantic purse of $1,561,000! The lion’s share of this gargantuan sum of money went to Sean Yu who walked away with the $260,000 first place prize after six days of intense poker action.
After such an amazing tournament that hosted some of the biggest names in world poker, it would be hard to top the WPT500 at Aria, but we are attempting to do exactly that when we bring the WPT500 to the United Kingdom in November.
WPT500 UK takes place between November 11 and November 16 at the UK’s largest and only poker-dedicated venue, namely Dusk Till Dawn. The buy-in for this poker bonanza is set at £500 and anyone ponying up that affordable sum will sit down at the Nottingham-based Dusk Till Dawn poker club and play for a slice of a prize pool that is guaranteed to be no less than £1 million!
The £1 million guaranteed WPT500 UK features four starting flights and players are permitted to re-enter once per each day, which means you have eight chances in total at progressing through to Day 2 and once you make it through anything can happen.
