The World Poker Tour National London Main Event is down to just 34 players, two of whom are of women. While the race is on to make it into the money places (the top 27 players will be paid) there will be a secret battle between Emma Tolley and Xuan Nguyen to see who can brag about being the last woman standing in this tournament.
Tolley is currently armed with 179,000 chips after starting with 64,400 when play began this afternoon. Tolley has three final table finishes to her name, a third place in a £100 buy-in and two fifth place finishes in £150 and £75 buy-in events respectively.
Nguyen is also doing well and has 200,000 chips at her disposal. Nguyen started Day 2 with just 30,000 chips, so to find her with 40,000 more than the average stack is very impressive indeed. Her best cash to date tops the scales at $450, which she won for finishing 40th in a $200 buy-in event here at the Apsers Casino Westfield.
