Dutch star Teun Mulder has hit a purple patch of form and the results are devastating when a great player runs hot.
Mulder took down the $5,200 High Roller Club Main Event on June 16 and saw his bankroll swell by an impressive $90,525. Last night, Mulder won another High Roller Club event and added the $98,000 top prize to his bankroll.
High Roller Club: 6-Max 2nd Chance $150K Gtd
Forty-nine players piled into the High Roller Club: 6-Max 2nd Chance $150K Gtd and created a $245,000 prize pool that the top six finishers shared. Spare a thought for Team partypoker’s Kristen Bicknell who saw her tournament end abruptly in seventh place, the final place not to see a return on the $5,200 investment.
Preben Stokkan continued his impressive recent run with a sixth-place finish worth $13,243. Russia’s Iurii Pasiuk was the next player to fall, he scooped the $17,150 fifth-place prize.
Fourth place and $22,050 went to Juan Pardo before Super High Roller specialists and all-round good guy Timothy Adams fell by the wayside in third place and saw $31,850 head to his partypoker account.
Adams’ exit left Mulder and Pascal Lefrancois as the last players standing. Either player would have made a worthy champion but only one man could claim that title. Mulder was that man, busting Lefrancois in second-place to resign the Canadian to a $62,706 consolation prize. This left Mulder to bank $98,000, the second-largest prize of the Dutch grinder’s long and illustrious career.

High Roller Club: Main Event $500K Gtd
Ireland’s Mark Davis has been entering High Roller events at partypoker for the past couple of months and has reached several final tables. Victory had proved elusive for the man from the Emerald Isle, but he finally got the proverbial monkey off his back when he triumphed over 48-opponents in the $10,300 High Roller Club Main Event $500K Gtd.
Davis turned his $10,300 investment into a massive $177,500, doing so over the course of 7.75 hours. This means Davis’ hourly rate was an almost unbelievable $22,903 per hour, nice work if you can get it!
The Irishman defeated Daniel Dvoress heads-up for the title. Dvoress secured $118,750 for his runner-up finish, the only other player to net six-figures.
Earlier at the final table. Jake Schindler bubbled and paved the way for the likes of Team partypoker’s Ludovic Geilich and Steve O’Dwyer to see a return on their $10,300 buy-in. David Peters and Alex Foxen also cashed, the latter banking $48,750. Russian star Artur Martirosian added to his already glowing reputation by helping himself to the $76,250 third-place prize.
