Tenno Tonts secured the largest prize awarded during the APAT WCOAP so far when he triumphed in the $530 buy-in Super High Roller event.
Some 223 players bought in, which meant the $100,000 guaranteed prize pool was surpassed by $11,500. The top 34 finishers received a slice of this ample pie so spare a thought for Canadian Kerry Shears who busted in 35th place and burst the bubble.
A min-cash weighed in at $1,232 and this payout swelled to $3,371 by the time the seven-handed final table was reached.
Sven Matthias of Germany was the first finalist to bite the dust. Markus Prinz and Dean Pearson, of Austria and the United Kingdom respectively, were the next to fall. Their partypoker account balances increased by $4,171 and $5,307.
Erik Tamm was the fourth-place finisher, a finish worth $7,335.
Tamm’s demise meant the surviving three players locked up a five-figure score. Silvio Costa was the first of this trio to scoop such a sum, namely $10,890 for his third-place finish.
Heads-up pitted Alexandr Trofimov and the aforementioned Tonts in a one-on-one battle for the title. Tonts emerged from the battle unscathed and with $22,357 reasons to be happy. Trofimov collected $15,491 for his runner-up finish.

Isaac Baker Brings Home the Bacon
Isaac Barker won the $55 buy-in WCOAP Mini Super High Roller and took home $4,659. Barker and Sabrina Kiefer were the last two players standing and they struck a deal that left $300 to play for. Barker got his hands on that extra payout following his heads-up victory.
All but two of the finalists turned their $55 investment into a four-figure prize. Vladimir Krizek and Claas Stoob were those players; they collected $640 and $839.
Everyone else won at least $1,083. Bolivian Igor Peredo secured this sum before Alexsandr Nosov won the $1,604 third-place prize. Richard Lawton was the penultimate elimination from the field, he banked $2,393.

Day 2 of the PLO Championship and Mini PLO commence at 19:15 GMT. Unsurprisingly, it is a Finnish player who leads the way in the PLO Championship. Finnish players seem to excel in this format and Jarkko Suokas leading adds weight to those thoughts.
The Turbo Knockout Championship and Mini Turbo Knockout shuffle up and deal at the same time and are sure to be fiercely fought.
