Our stars had cashed 21 times for a combined haul of $220,053 the last time we checked in with them, now they have accumulated some 32 cashes worth $389,823 in total.
Brazilian sensation Joao Simao is the man to catch when it comes to total prize money won. Simao currently tops the charts with $63,283 worth of in the money finishes, an impressive sum helped by Simao finishing 16th in the $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em Millionaire Maker for $59,833.
Ludovic Geilich is hot on Simao’s heels after his deep run in the $25,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller event. Everyone’s favourite Scotsman busted in 23rd place for $50,759 and now has five cashes weighing in at $60,050.
Two other members of Team partypoker bagged their first cash of the series this week. Finland’s Joni Jouhkimainen made the long journey to Nevada to play in the $25,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller and it turned out to be a solid decision because he navigated his way to a 24th place finish worth $50,759.
The legend that is our chairman, Mike Sexton, came close to winning what would have been his second WSOP bracelet in the $2,500 Mixed Big Bet event. Sadly, Sexton had to make do with the $12,240 awarded for a seventh-place finish.
