River:
Quads for Wilinofsky and he checks to Seiver. Seiver must surely think he is ahead and he bets 50,000. Wilinofsky raises to 130,000 and Seiver is stunned. He decides to make himself a cup of tea (yes you heard me right) and drinks it like a classic English gent as he tries to work out what the hell Wilinofsky has. He knows Wilinofsky has a queen, or nothing, but just doesn’t know which way to turn.
“I am supposed to call so badly,” Seiver whispers to himself.
Eventually Seiver makes the great fold (as so many of these players seem to do) and Wilinofsky scoops the pot.

Good morning poker world and welcome to the Premier League V. So what’s been happening so far?
Our first job was to fill the two qualifying seats and Mathew Frankland and Ben Wilinofsky showed how valuable satellite qualifications can be by earning themselves a $125,000 seat. In the first Group A heat it was Phil Laak who took home maximum points despite being the least aggressive player at the table. Then in the second heat, and once again it was two of the most passive players who made it to heads up – Tony G taking home maximum points after defeating Erik Seidel.
In the first Group B heat, Patrik Antonius defeated Scott Seiver to take maximum points and Heat 2 will start around 11:15-11:30 (CET). Here are the current Group B league standings.
- Patrik Antonius – 16 points
- Scott Seiver – 11 points
- Dan “Jungleman” Cates – 8 points
- Tom Dwan – 6 points
- Betrand “ElkY” Grospellier – 4 points
- Yevgeniy Timoshenko – 3 points
- Vanessa Selbst – 2 points
- Ben Wilinofsky – 0 points
The seat draw will follow shortly.
