We here at partypoker are constantly monitoring chatter across our social media channels and discussing various subjects with our players via forums and groups and one area that has been of interest of late was the satellites we offered.
You will notice some significant changes to our satellite offering if you log into your partypoker account and head to the satellites tab.
Auto-registration has been removed
The first major change is that the Mega Satellites are no more. While they were undoubtedly popular, the new system we have put in place to replace that will benefit more partypoker players than ever before.
One criticism of our old satellites was the lower buy-in feeders auto-registered for the next available tournament. This has been removed with immediate effect. Now when you win a ticket to a higher buy-in tournament, you will not be automatically registered for the next tournament. You will now have a ticket placed into your partypoker account that you need to use within seven days, unless otherwise stated via the “Read More” link in the tournament’s lobby.
Satellites to $22 and $55 tournaments now available
Also, thanks to your valued feedback, we have added satellites that award $22, $55, $109, $215, $530, $1,050 tickets along with $5,300 tickets to the $20 million guaranteed MILLIONS Online, too. Many of you asked for satellites to tournaments with a buy-in less than $109 and you can now grind these to your heart’s content.
These new satellites are available right now, are found under the “Satellites” tab in the tournament lobby and run around the clock.
Buying into the satellites that award $22 tickets costs $3.30 and you can win $55 tickets from $3.30, $5.50 and $7.50 buy-in satellites. We are also spreading $109 satellites that cost $5.50, $11 and $16.50, while $215 tickets can be won via $11, $22, and $27.50 satellites.
Now we’re into High Roller territory with the $530 tickets. Satellites for this games cost $22, $55 or $82, with $1,050 ticket being able to be won for $109.
All the new satellites are either played as a re-entry or rebuy format.
These new tournaments give you a more varied selection of satellite tournaments throughout the day, which in turn should give you a little more flexibility when it comes to planning your poker session. As always, your feedback on these changes is welcomed.
Good luck at the tables.
