There is a new poker tournament in town and it goes by the name of The Grand. It is a fitting name because, well, the Grand is exactly that.

The Grand: $200K Gtd Phase Final is a brand new addition to the partypoker tournament schedule. It commands a $1,050 buy-in, hence the event’s name, and comes with a guaranteed prize pool topping the scales at a cool $200,000.

Buying into the $1,050 Final direct gives you a one million chip starting stack. That is a ton of chips considering the blinds start at 5,000/10,000/1,250a and increase every 15 minutes. Late registration remains open until the end of the 12th level, which is also your last opportunity to purchase the single permitted re-entry.

There are no satellites feeding into The Grand because the tournament has a phased format. This means you can buy in at any stage you wish, including the $1,050 final.

Phase 1 only costs $2.20 to enter, making The grand accessible to a vast number of our players. The first phase ends when only 10% of the field remains. Have a single chip in front of you at this stage and you progress to Phase 2 with your chip stack.

The second phase comes with a buy-in of $22. It ends when 20% of the field remains. Again, you take your chips through with you to the next available phase, which is a $109 buy-in Phase 3. Be among the last 10% of players in a Phase 3 and you have made it through to the $1,050 The Grand Phase Final at 17:05 BST on Sunday.
