Third instalment of Monster Series set to run 29 July – 6 August, 2018 over 171 events
The popular online ‘Monster Series’ is returning to partypoker for its third instalment from 29 July – 6 August, 2018, guaranteeing over $2m in prize money.
Following the success of the previous two low-to-mid-stakes festivals, partypoker has expanded the full schedule to include a total of 171 tournaments over 56 numbered events, with buy-ins scaling $1.50 – $33.
Events will again run in a three-tiered buy-in system across a range of variants including ‘Smooth’, ‘6-Max’, ‘Deepstack’ and ‘Hyper’, giving players plenty of choice over the nine-day festival. PKO (‘Progressive Knockout’ Tournaments) are also back, while a 19:00 CEST flagship event will run daily in the $33 ‘High’ buy-in category.
There’s over $800K guaranteed across both Sundays with the headline ‘Event #52-High: $200K Gtd [Championship Event]’ capping the series on 5 August.
On top of the $2.1 million in guaranteed prize money, players entering 10 or more Monster Series events are automatically entered into a prize draw with MILLIONS Online satellite tickets up for grabs.
Cash game fans too have reason to get in on the action this summer, with ‘Cash Game Monster Hours’ running daily throughout the series.
Monster Series was introduced back in October, 2017 in direct response to player feedback says partypoker Managing Director, Tom Waters, who commented: “Players told us they were keen to compete in a series of tournaments that offered a range of low to mid-stakes buy-in levels. We continue to evaluate our major online events and hope the latest Monster Series continues to offer as much excitement as the first two series.”
