Irish poker legend Padraig Parkinson is the newest addition to our team of ambassadors after signing a new sponsorship deal to be the face of partypoker in Ireland.
Parkinson, who has almost $1.8 million in live tournament winnings, will first fly the partypoker flag in his role of ambassador at the Grand Prix Cork, a €300+€40 buy-in event that runs at the Macau Sporting Club in Cork from February 23-26.
Speaking of joining an impressive stable of professional players and ambassadors, Parkinson said: “I am proud to join the partypoker team of ambassadors and am extremely excited about the live opportunities that partypoker LIVE will bring to Ireland in 2017. With the support of partypoker I look forward to continuing my work to grow the Irish poker community.”
Group Head of partypoker Tom Waters said: “It is a pleasure to have Padraig join the partypoker team as an ambassador and we are delighted to have such a highly regarded and well-known professional representing us in the Irish market.”
In addition to the upcoming Grand Prix Cork, Parkinson is set to play in the Northern Cup in January 21 at the Green Isle Hotel before heading to Dusk Till Dawn in April to compete in the parytpoker MILLIONS where the eventual champion will walk away with a guaranteed £1 million. Watch out for Parkinson sporting the famous partypoker patch as he tours the Irish poker circuit throughout 2017.
