NFTs developed with Theta Labs for the first-ever integrated NFT platform in poker.
partypoker is giving poker fans the chance to be the owner of a piece of partypoker history with the launch of its first-ever official non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
For anyone unaware, NFTs are unique, non-fungible certificates of authenticity of digital files, which could include items such as artwork, music, videos or tweets. Using the latest technology, partypoker brings exciting moments to the poker community and makes the partypoker experience even more engaging.
partypoker’s NFTs will showcase some of the most iconic moments and tournament hands in the history of partypoker and partypoker LIVE, while some will feature special PokerApes. PokerApes will be a series of high-definition images with a partypoker twist, featuring full 3D artwork and unique traits.
Developed With Theta Labs
The NFTs have been developed in association with Theta Labs, the distributed video delivery pioneer powered by blockchain technology. Theta provides end-to-end infrastructure for decentralised video and powers NFT and Metaverse platforms.
What makes this partnership unique is that players will view NFTs on offer from an online poker platform for the first time. The partypoker marketplace will feature primary sales of new NFTs and a secondary marketplace for users to trade NFTs.
This is the first stage of a broader partnership between Entain brands and Theta Labs. NFTs will be developed for brands across the Group, and Entain technologists will work with Theta to further use its technology across video streaming, Metaverse, games and more.
An Exciting, Global Collaboration
Theta is among one of the first partners working with Ennovate; an Innovation Hub in London soon to be launched by Entain. Ennovate will invest up to £100 million in technology projects, including many with UK and global partners, and with around £40 million earmarked specifically for the UK.
