The 426 entrants created a guarantee busting €127,800 prize pool, a fantastic result considering dozens of flights to Ireland were cancelled over the weekend with Storm Doris battering our shores. A huge thank you to everyone who braved the atrocious weather and made Grand Prix Cork a roaring success!
Forty-seven of the mammoth-sized crowd received prize money for their substantial efforts, so spare a thought for Jerome Skehan who fell in 48th place to burst the money bubble. Although disappointed to not cash, partypoker gave the bubble boy a ticket to the $325,000 guaranteed Title Fight worth $215 as a consolation prize.
Our VIP manager Charlie Godwin fell in 42nd place for €730 while our very own Natalia Breviglieri also made it into the money place, eventually busting out in 35th place for €820. Great work, ladies!
Once the money bubble popped, the field was whittled down towards the nine-handed final table where the minimum prize on offer stood at €2,555.
