By the time the curtain came down on the 15th event of the day, some $570,287 had been awarded to those lucky and skilful enough to navigate their way into the money places of those tournaments, getting the festival off to a flying start.

The first high buy-in Monster Series event smashed its $50,000 guarantee after 3,036 player exchanged $22 for the chance to become a Monster Series champion.

By the time the eight-handed final table was reached, the least anyone was taking home was $599, but with $9,529 awaiting the champion, nobody wanted to collect that sum. Unfortunately, the nature of tournaments meant someone had to and that someone was “c0rbl1meguv.” They were followed to the rail by “Dr.MindBender”, “StraddleU1” and “wvoron81”.

“Raasalghul” and “samygold13” then fell by the wayside leaving “cristiane66699” and “TodayHave” to lock horns heads-up for the title. The fight was won by TodayHave who walked away with $9,529 for their $22 investment.

“Fersen1” ran out a massive winner in the $100,000 guaranteed Monster Series Event #02-High. They topped a field of 4,396 players to get their hands on an impressive $16,553 haul for their $27 investment.

The $100,000 guarantee was beaten by $7,921 and the prizes awarded were large to say the least. Fersen1’s heads-up opponent, “guisdutra” also banked a five-figure score, walking away with a cool $11,553 for their second-place finish, a remarkable prize for such a low buy-in, which is what the Monster Series is all about.

The biggest prize of Monster Series Day 1 weighed in at $27,300 and would have been larger had “MMA_RNC” and “eagiacomel” not struck a deal when heads-up. Eagiacomel was the runner-up and scooped $24,584 after the deal, with MMA_RNC taking home $27,300 and the title of champion.

Shoutout also to “tcardoso10” who was the other player to walk away with five-figures added to their partypoker balance, namely $13,688.

Monster Series Events Running Today

Another 15 Monster Series events are scheduled for today, Monday 30th April, that have buy-ins ranging from $0.44 up to $33. Weigh up all of the guaranteed prize pools and they are worth a cool $255,000.

Each of today’s events are exciting in their own right, but some of the highlights include the $25,000 guaranteed, for a $22 buy-in, at 15:00 CET, the $50,000 guaranteed, for a $27 buy-in, at 17:00 CET and the massive $100,000 guaranteed at 19:00 CET that costs $33 to enter.
