partypoker Ambassador and all-round legend Mike Sexton’s autobiography “Life’s a Gamble” is now in the public domain after a hugely successful book launch party at Julian Serrano’s at ARIA Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, which all WPT500 players who qualified at partypoker were invited to.
With how open and accessible Mike Sexton is, many people feel like they already know him. If you have ever seen Mike at a poker tournament, you will know that he is always willing to chat about poker, sports, and anything that you fancy chewing the fat over.
The book begins in a chronological fashion with stories from his childhood when he lived in Indiana, his exploits in the world of high school and college gymnastics, becoming a paratrooper, and even teaching ballroom dancing.
Of course, the book also has its fair share of poker content, with some hilarious gambling stories featuring Mike and the likes of Sam Girzzle, Jack Straus, the late Dave “Devilfish” Ulliott, and even Hollywood actor Ben Affleck.
Keep reading the page-turner of a book and you’ll learn more about how Mike created the Tournament of Champions in 1999, how he helped develop partypoker and the first partypoker Million tournament aboard a cruise ship, his involvement in the World Poker Tour as a co-commentator, and a section dedicated to his friend Stu Ungar.
There’s so much amazing content that we could write thousands of words about Mike’s book, but the stories are best enjoyed in full and in your own time, so get yourself online and buy yourself a copy of Life’s a Gamble by the legendary Mike Sexton, and check out all of the photographs from a superb night of celebrations via this link.
