Phil “The Poker Brat” Hellmuth and Antonio “The Magician” Esfandiari have confirmed their attendance in the $125,000 buy-in PartyPoker.com Premier League VI in London from 17th to 23rd March. They will also play WPT Venice Grand Prix from 25th – 30th March.
Phil Hellmuth said: “I am looking forward to competing in the Premier League: 16 players, 1 winner!”. Antonio Esfandiari said: “For years I have been hearing about Premier League Poker – it’s nice to finally make it over there to play in it!”
Hellmuth and Esfandiari join Scott Seiver and Daniel Negreanu to make up the first four players in the 16 player Premier League VI at Aspers Casino, London. The event will feature 16 players split up into two groups of eight in the Main Event, each competing in four league matches showcasing the famous point system ($2,000 per point). The top three from each group will automatically go through to the final table, while the fourth and fifth seeds will square off in a series of heads-up matches (best of three) for spots in the eight-handed finale. PartyPoker’s Kara Scott will present the coverage.
The Premier League VI runs alongside the inaugural PartyPoker.com WPT National London, also taking place at Aspers Casino, with the £1,500 re-entry Main Event with two day ones taking place 15th – 19th March 2012.
