Eleanor Gudger is £140,000 richer this morning thanks to her taking down the £1 million guaranteed 2014 partypoker WPT500 UK at Dusk Till Dawn (DTD) in Nottingham. Gudger turned professional 18 months ago and this is by far her largest live tournament score and ensures that there are two WPT titles in her family because her father, John, won the WPT National Milton Keynes in December 2013!
Day 3 started with 61 players taking their seats at DTD, a figure that shrunk with the exits of such luminaries as Charles Chattha, Pratik Ghatge, Marc Inizan, Luigi Viscomi, Chun Law, Renne Xie, Gordon Huntly, Willie Tann, William Chattaway, David “Lil Dave” Nicholson, David Peters, Thomas High and Dhru Patel, and James Morris the latter finishing 10th to leave only the final table remaining.

Heads-up was set when Gudger raised to 2,000,000 and Hamid Rowshanaei called. A flop reading was checked by Rowshanaei, bet to the tune of 2,000,000 by Gudger and called by Rowshanaei. The turn was the and Rowshanaei moved all-in. Gudger took a second look at her cards before announcing the call.
