The 2021 Grand Prix KO Series is nearing its thrilling conclusion, and that means time is rapidly running out if you have hopes and dreams of becoming the Main Event or Mini Main Event’s champion.

Day 2 of both the Main and Mini Main Events take place from 20:05 BST on October 4, and there are a handful of flights remaining in each.

$500,000 Gtd Grand Prix KO Series Main Event

Almost 1,900 partypoker players have bought into the $500,000 guaranteed Grand Prix KO Series Main Event so far, but only 268 of those starters have punched their Day 2 tickets. There are 13 Day 1s remaining (at the time of writing), each costing $109 to enter, unless you manage to play your way into them via the many satellites that start at only $2.20.

Canada’s Sebastian Sikorski is the current chip leader going into Day 2 on October 4. Sikorski is a vastly experienced online poker tournament grinder. He put his experience to good use during his flight, turning his 100,000 starting stack into 2,607,819 chips. Sikorski also accumulated $265.62 in bounty payments, so is already showing a profit for the event.

Ukraine’s Rostyslav Hertsyk is the only other player right now with more than two million chips. Hertsyk bagged up 2,355,824 chips and $343.75 from the bounty prize pool. Will you surpass either of these chip stacks when you buy into a Main Event Day 1?

$100,000 Gtd Grand Prix KO Series Mini Main Event

There is $100,000 guaranteed in the Grand Prix KO Series Mini Main Event. More than 6,100 players have bought in for $11 but that number is set to increase with more than a dozen flights remaining.

Ireland’s David Ryan enjoyed himself immensely during his opening flight. The Irishman sat down with 100,000 chips but finished his Day 1 with a colossal 3,978,294, over 1.1 million more chips than anyone else in the field! Ryan also snagged $46.86 worth of bounties after sending 11 opponents to the showers during his meteoric rise to the top.

$500,000 Gtd Grand Prix KO Series High Roller

The $530 buy-in Grand Prix KO #10 High Roller could easily be the best value tournament on the schedule. It features a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool, but less than 200 players have bought in so far, meaning another 800 entries are required over the remaining ten flights; none of the completed Day 1s has seen more than 55 buy-ins.

Richard Bruning finds himself in the envious position of chip leader going into October 4’s final day. The Mexico-based star has 1,201,895 chips and $718.75 worth of bounties. Five other players have more than one million chips. They are Markus Prinz (1,172,818), Santiago Gonzalez Alvarez (1,159,131), Patrick Hyllegaard (1,060,871), Akshay Sutar (1,054,046), and Jamie Walden (1,053,105).

With so many high roller regulars heading to Las Vegas for the WSOP, this event could well be ideal to take a shot at, or at least try to qualify for via the $2.20 satellites.
