PartyPoker players gathered at Studio 54 last night for food, dance, drinks, sassy go-go dancers and…um…yes trapeze-style performances. Every twenty minutes or so a new act on stage (or above it) entertained the crowd.
Party players like Nathan Wilt and Pat Dattilo celebrated making it past Day 1A. Both players qualified for the main event via satellite tournaments with PartyPoker. Wilt, 30, is currently at 17th place with 80,225 chips while Dattilo, 36, is holding strong with 43,075 chips. Dattilo’s wife, Liz, watched Pat play through Day 1.
“I pulled up a chair next to that velvet rope and sat there for 15 hours by his side watching almost every hand,” Liz said. “David Phan was at his table. He had a very tough table, but he did just great.”
Pat Dattilo (Ottowa, Canada) and Nathan Wilt (Iberia, OH) celebrate making it through Day 1 of the WSOP main event. Dattilo qualified for the main event by winning first place in a PartyPoker freeroll. Wilt qualified through a PartyPoker satellite tournament.
