Twitch TV partypokerTV is Live Now - Watch live on Twitch

More than one unmissable event is happening on December 25 this year, as the Grand Prix KO Winter Edition will be underway on partypoker, giving players of all bankrolls a chance to kick off their 2022 in perfect style and take the Main Event crown.

The series will run from December 25, 2021, to January 17, 2022. The schedule features 14 progressive knockout events, all of which are two-day flighted tournaments. With buy-ins ranging from $3.30 to $530, there will be something on offer for players of varying skill levels. Satellites will run for most events, and all come with several starting flights to give more chances to win.

Christmas festivities can be rounded off with the Opener on the first day of the series, where $150,000 is guaranteed for a $33 buy-in. Starting flights continue running every day until the second and final day on January 3. Finishing later that week is the 6-Max Championship, which runs from December 30 to January 6. The $200,000 guaranteed event comes with a $215 buy-in.

$500,000 Guaranteed Main Event

The New Year brings even more excitement as the Main Event gets underway on January 1; make sure you have not overdone the New Year’s Eve celebrations! The Main Event buy-in is $109, and players compete for their share of the $500,000 guaranteed prize pool.

You have many chances to qualify for the Main Event for a fraction of its cost because the Main Event satellite tree starts from just $0.01. The popular centrolls run daily on partypoker.

There will be several opportunities for players to enter the event, with as many as 40 starting flights taking place across 17 days. The final starting flight is scheduled for the same day as Day 2, January 17.

The Super 50 begins on the same day the Opener concludes, January 3, and continues through to January 10. A buy-in of $55 brings with it a chance to play for a guaranteed prize pool tipping the scales at $200,000.

There will also be something for players who want to participate in high-roller tournaments. The 7-Max High Roller begins on New Year’s Day and runs until January 10, with $500,000 guaranteed for a $530 buy-in. The 6-Max High Roller then takes over from January 10 until the final day of the series, with the same guarantee and buy-in as the 7-Max edition.

Rounding off proceedings is the Closer. It takes place during the final week of the series and guarantees a $150,000 pot for a buy-in of $33.

Mini Events Make The Series Accessible to All

In addition to these incredible tournaments, except for the high-roller events, all scheduled Grand Prix KO Winter Edition tournaments come with a mini edition running alongside them for only a tenth of the main tournament buy-in, giving everyone the chance to win titles at lower buy-in levels.

Chris Donnachie, partypoker’s Head of Poker Room Management, said: “The Christmas and New Year period is always a busy one for us here at partypoker, and the same can be said for our players, so we wanted to give our players a series which allows maximum flexibility during a time where poker doesn’t always take centre stage.

“The Grand Prix KO Winter Edition is the perfect solution, with its multiple daily starting flights and chances to play from Christmas Day right through until January 17.”

Team partypoker’s Carl Froch said: “I’m looking forward to playing some poker over Christmas and the Winter Grand Prix is perfect for players of any level. I’m particularly looking forward to the Main Event, and there are plenty of opportunities to qualify for this for much less than $109. I hope to see lots of you at the tables.”
