Germany’s Casy2967 signed off an excellent week of poker with a victory in the partypoker $200K Guaranteed Sunday. Casy2967 was one of 1,031 players to buy into the flagship weekly tournament and his decision to enter was rewarded with a victory work a cool $27,400.
As always, the tournament kicked off at 7:00pm BST and some nine hours later all but nine of the huge crowd had lost their chips through bluffing, getting them in behind or by good old-fashioed bad beats, leaving only one table in play, the final table.

It took almost 40 hands at the final table before a player busted, that player being vadimvalm. Having lost everything barring six big binds when his couldn’t beat the of the dangerous Romanian banditpandaa1, vadimvalm was in dire straits.
He was put out of his misery a couple of hands after that fateful hand when he open-shipped for 85,306 at the 7,500/15,000/1,500a from middle position with and banditpanaa1 called with the from the button. A queen on the turn of the left vadimvalm drawing dead and the final table lost a player.
Thirty or so hands later and Casy2967 got very luck to double up when the odds said he should have been sat on the sidelines. Casy2967 opened to 50,000 at the 12,500/25,000/2,500a level, jupiterjazz three-bet to 150,000 from his seat on the button and tht raise was called by Dueces6 in the big blind and then Casy2967.
The flop was greeted with a check from Deuces6, a bet of 324,526 from Casy2967 and then an all-in bet of 429,206 from jupiterjazz. Deuces6 stepped out of the way and Casy2967 tossed in the extra chips required to call.
Jupiterjazz:
Casy2967:
Casy2967 only had a 22% chance of staying in the tournament after running slap-bang into the deadly pocket aces of his opponent. Those chances reduced to a mere 11% when the fell on the turn, but Lady Luck was shining down on him because the completed the board and improved Casy2967 to a hand-winning two-pair.
Another unfortunate hand claimed the tournament life of banditpandaa1 who moved all-in for 8.5 big blinds from late position with the respectable only to see Yamaha_125 call from the button with the dominating . By the river the board read , busting banditpandaa1 in eighth place.
Almost immediately after banditpandaa1’s dismissal, a hue pot went down that saw Yamaha_125 ride off into the distance and TEECRAMES’ stack swell to more than 2 million.
Yamaha_125 got the ball rolling with a min-raise to 50,000 from early position and the action folded to TEECRAMES on the button. He paused briefly before three-betting to 122,222, which folded out the blinds. Yamaha_125, however, had other plans, he was going nowhere. Within seconds Yamaha_125 four-bet all in for 620,152 in total and TEECRAMES made the call.
It was in the hand of Yamaha_125 versus the of TEECRAMES for the monster-sized pot. is how the flop came down, pushing TEECRAMES further into the lead, but also giving Yamaha_125 outs to a straight. The turn was as blank as you could imagine, as was the river. Game over for Yamaha_125 and game on for TEECRAMES.
After losing that big hand versus Casy2967 when his aces were cracked, jupiterjazz has been nursing a short stack but had done well to ladder up the payouts. Any further laddering was nipped in the bud when Casy2967 opened to 50,000 from the cutoff and then called when jupitrjazz moved all-in from the button for 291,860 in total.
Jupiterjazz held a narrow advantage, his leading the of his nemesis, but that lead only lasted as long as the flop. The gave jupiterjazz a flush draw, the river missing both players and resigning jupiterjazz to sixth place money.
Twenty-five hands later and a battle of less-than-stellar hands resulted in gates101 crashing out of the tournament.GirlPowerrrr min-raised to 60,000 from the button and gates101 called from the big blind. A draw heavy flop was met with a check from gates101, a bet of 75,000 from GirlPowerrrr and an all-in check-raise from gates101.
Getting almost 4-to-1 on her money, GirlPowerrrr had a very easy call, a call she made with the . gates101 turned over for top pair that became useless when GirlPowerrrr completed her flush with the . Another heart, the , filled the board and the partypoker 200K Guaranteed Sunday was down to only four players.
Those four became three with the elimination of GirlPowerrrr. TEECRAMES saw the action fold to him in the small blind and he raised all-in with the . GirlPowerrrr, down to 12 big blinds, called with the and when the five community cards ran out GirlPowerrrr crashed out in fourth place.
Three-handed play was an exciting affair with TEECRAMES coming out of it in the best shape, partly because of the hand that sent Deuces6 to the rail.
From the button, Dueces6 open-jammed for 440,544 (11 big blinds) with [&s] and the seemingly unstoppable TEECRAMES looked him up with . Neither player improved on the board so Deuces6 busted and heads-up was set.
TEECRAMES held a massive 4,260,497 to 894,503 lead over Casy2967 and it looked as if a conclusion would be drawn quickly. How wrong those thoughts were because the one-on-one encounter spanned close to 200 hands, during which time the chip Casy2967 drew level, then the chip lead exchanged hands several times.
The final hand took place at 7:07am BST on Monday morning and Casy2967 limp for 80,000 and then call when TEECRAMES moved all-in for 1,359,210. TEECRAMES showed and was a big favourite to beat the and double up. That was until the first card onto the board was the and that was followed into view by the and finally the , sending th pot to Casy2967 and TEECRAMES to the second place spot on the payout list.
