“tiltduck” turned a $33 investment into an incredible $22,875 after outlasting 5,017 opponents in the Monster #03-H: $200K Gtd [8-Max, PKO] event.
Some 664 players were paid out and by the time the eight-handed final table was set, the least anyone would be taking home weighed in at $1,101 [plus whatever they had collected in the form of bounties.
“ARTZIPOPA” was the final table’s first casualty, busting in eighth-place for $1,101 and $498 worth of bounties. They were joined on the sidelines by “Ruffe”, “playfastpls” and “DIMOS33” before “Arut040” banked an impressive $5,227 from the main prize pool and $1,207 worth of bounties for their fourth-place finish.
Third-place and a combined score of $10,412 went to “NickyFox” and their elimination left tiltduck and “Pegasus1971” to lock horns for the title. Pegasus1971 may be named after a mythical horse but they couldn’t ride off with the top prize and had to make do with a welcomed $12,517 plus $2,224 consolation prize.

Another big winner on Day 1 of the $3.4 million Monster Series was “PichuPuduven” who triumphed over 2,700 opponents in the Monster #04-H: $100K Gtd [8-Max] event, a result that saw their $33 turn into a bankroll boosting $16,162.
Each of the eight final tablists were guaranteed a four-figure score, with the final two players set to walk away with five-figures.
“summuNNN” netted $1,020 for their eighth-place finish with “musash11” taking home $1,600 after crashing out in seventh-place. Sixth-place and $2,320 went to “Marquinhosss” before “Dolphins7i” swam off with $3,400.
There was plenty of tension when only four players remained thanks to the pay jumps increasing in size. Fourth-place, secured by “clarkshark20”, was worth $4,890 while “el-nene833” took home $7,357 for their third-place finish.
The player of the hour was PichuPuduven who eliminated “keyhell_” in second-place, resigning keyhell_ to a bridesmaid finish and $11,435 from the prize pool, which will no doubt help to soften the blow of missing out on a title.

A guarantee-busting prize pool of $52,980 was created when 2,649 players bought into the Monster #02-H: $50K Gtd [Mix-Max] event. Again, each of the players who navigated their way to the final table locked up a four-figure score.
“Fuzal_96” was eliminated in sixth-place in the Mix-Max event for $1,010 while “Matheuz77” netted $1,849 for their $22 investment.
The prizes just kept growing more and more substantial with “BowserPT” and “hearmeroar” walking away with $2,856 and $3,921 respectively, which left “Victory1488” and “OverM1nd55” to play one-on-one for the title and the $6,618 top prize.
No deal was struck despite the difference between first and second-place standing at more than $1,500 so when OverM1nd55 came out on top, they walked away with $6,618 while Victory1488 had to make do with the $5,081 runner-up prize.
