Sofie2019 secured their second title in as many days by taking down the Omaha Series 08-HR: $30K Gtd PLO event for $10,723.

The Finnish player triumphed in the Omaha Series 02-HR: $50K Gtd PLO PKO on Day 1 for a combined prize worth $16,058 and yesterday banked another $10,723 after topping a field of $62 players in another $530 buy-in Omaha Series event.

Everyone at the final table won at least $1,395, the sum given to sixth-place finisher “PeasantPoker” of New Zealand. The New Zealander was joined on the sidelines by “JNandezPoker” of Germany and “matelis38” from Lithuania who banked prizes of $2,015 and $2,790 respectively.

“Paul_Folders” of the United Kingdom was the penultimate elimination, busting in third-place for $3,720 to set up a heads-up clash between Sofie2019 and Germany’s “trackomat”. The former came out on top to resign the runner-up to $6,975.

Lithuania’s “mantelis38” reached the final table of the Omaha Series 08-HR: $30K Gtd PLO event and followed that impressive result up with a fourth-place finish in the Omaha Series 07-H: $15K Gtd PLO Deep tournament. The Lithuanian banked $2,790 in the other event and an additional $2,023 from this tournament; PLO must be popular in Lithuania!

Only “paskavittu” failed to walk away with a four-figure prize at this final table, although the $987 they collected was almost a grand. “Siddhartha90” busted in fifth for $1,487, we already know about matelis38’s fourth-place and they were followed by “SWAT00799” of Belarus who scored $2,856.

Heads-up saw “Shiftee17” of Austria take on “ftofto” of Ukraine in a battle for the top prize of $5,995. It was the Austrian who emerged victorious, leaving the Ukrainian to scoop $4,046 for their bridesmaid finish.

We’ve mentioned a double final table of Lithuania’s “mantelis38” but there was also a similar story for Ukraine’s “ftofto” who finished second in the Omaha Series 07-H: $15K Gtd PLO Deep event before falling in fifth-place in the Omaha Series 09-HR: $30K Gtd PLO PKO, the latter netting them $1,222 from the main prize pool and $590 worth of bounties.

The player of the hour, however, was “philivey19” — no not that one! — who outlasted 64-opponents to secure the $4,232 first-place prize and $6,759 from the bounty prize pool, a large bounty that included the scalp of runner-up “Kzzon” of Sweden who walked away with a combined $4,982.
